Group Classes
Agility
If you're looking for a fun, social activity that builds communication and teamwork with your dog, there's nothing better than agility! Our classes run under Bar Stars Agility Club, teaching the same foundations that our competition dogs build on. No matter what your agility goals, we have the training options to make them a reality.

What are the benefits of agility?
Team Building
Take your relationship with your dog to the next level as you work together to tackle the challenges of agility.
Exercise for Two
Agility is a great way for both dog and handler to exercise their body and mind alike!
Gain Confidence
Agility is a great confidence builder for dogs that are anxious, shy or fearful. You'll be amazed at what your dog can do as you conquer each obstacle.
A Calmer Dog
Let your dog release their energy while providing them with the mental stimulation that will guarantee they go home ready to relax.
With our progressive system, dogs and owners of any age can enjoy agility. Our three level Bar Stars foundation series starts with a casual, fun introduction to agility basics and gradually builds all of the skills needed to conquer a full agility course with confidence.

Foundational classes, run under York Regions's competitive agility club
Drop the Leash's agility program is now the foundational track of our Bar Stars Agility Club, led by Jesse Seguin — a full time agility coach, competitor and UKI agility judge. You'll learn the same foundational skills our competition teams build on, and when you are ready to move beyond the basics, Bar Stars' Agility Club has all the opportunities you'll need with advanced course running classes, seminars, fun matches and sanctioned trials.

Beginner Agility Foundations (Level 1)
Jump right into fun by learning how to send your pup over and through the basic agility obstacles: jumps and tunnels. Build the foundations to safely climb the dog walk, a-frame and see-saw.

Intermediate Agility Foundations (Level 2)
Hone the communication and teamwork with your dog to manage the twists and turns of short sequences, learning the different side-changing crosses and when to use each one. Begin to zig-zag through the impressive weave poles and build the reliability of the contact equipment performance.

Advanced Agility Foundations (Level 3)
Start to get fancy with the introduction of advanced jumps like the backside and threadle. Combine all of your skills into longer sequences and work towards running a full agility course!
